SYROS

Syra or Syros is the largest of the Cyclades islands in terms of population. It is 11 th in a row in the particular island cluster , with an area of 84 square kilometers and 22,5 kilometres in breadth. Syros has a central position in Cyclades. The island has rich geography, with many hills and shallow valleys, while the height of its highest point (Pyrgos) is 442 metres. Apart from the densely built main town formed by Hermoupolis and Anos Syros on the East coast, there is a number of Mediterranean and coastal settlements scattered all over the island.
